Most Impressive: St. Louis Who was Most Impressive in STL?

450 Class: Ken Roczen

What a turn of events these past few weekends for Roczen’s title chances. He now appears to be one of the favorites? Pace-wise, no one has been able to match him the past three weekends (yes, including Birmingham when he came from behind but finished 2nd). Roczen appears unbeatable.

It’s quite impressive how fast, consistent, and strong Roczen looks right now. He’s getting good starts, charging the entire race, and seems to be a click above everyone else in pure speed. He has handled rutted/soft conditions (aka this weekend in STL), but also harder pack conditions (Glendale and Detroit). This is the closest we’ve seen Kenny look to his 2016 pre-arm injury self.

Roczen said:

“I honestly still can’t believe it. That track was absolutely brutal and on top of that, it was just extremely busy. It was a brutal Main Event. Even when I had that gap, you just don’t want to make any silly mistakes that allow them to get closer and make it tight at the end. I just can’t believe I pulled off this back-to-back win. I just never stop believing. We’ve got the ball rolling. We’re going to hunker down and keep hammering.”

250 Class: Haiden Deegan

Well, it’s official: Deegan is your 2026 250W champ. I think it’s safe to say that he’s also clearly the best in the class right now; he’s truly in a league of his own. He’s able to move through the pack and pass everyone like they’re standing still. He has 2 more races to stack his 250 career a bit more, then onto 450s!

It’s ultra impressive watching him ride: he’s calm and smooth but yet aggressive; he’s moving the bike around so much and looks incredibly strong and in-control. It’s easy to say when he’s dominating everyone in his class, but honestly, he looks better than the majority of 450 guys even. Yes, it’s a different track (less broke down), but even still… I kinda think he challenges for podiums on a 450 on a track like last night? Count me excited to see him race in the premier class; outdoors can’t come soon enough.

Deegan took some time to appreciate his 250 career and another championship:

“I’m so grateful. This 250 career has been insane. As a kid I wanted to win one championship, that’s every kid’s dream. This is number six. We’re going to keep digging. I ain’t done yet. I’m not done ticking [championships] off and we’re coming to the 450 Class swinging.”
