It's Supercross week! The 2026 season gets underway this weekend in Anaheim. The opening round is arguably the best racing event of the year... it's hard to match the excitement, hype, and energy surrounding A1. If you happen to be traveling to SoCal for the race, we've put together a travel guide to show you around via food, entertainment, and beer! (And if you're not on your way to Anaheim, book those tickets now!).

You can also view the following travel guide on our destination page for Anaheim.

Summary

Sun, Disney, beer, beaches, Mexican food, proximity to LA attractions... all amazing! But it's OC after all... lots of driving and hard to find the hidden gems.

Food

Orange County has some good food but it’s sprawled throughout the area. Be prepared to Uber or drive places!

To be honest, most of the places close to Anaheim we don’t like much… but if you enjoy steak you’re in luck! Our favorite place by far in Anaheim is The Ranch. It’s a classic steakhouse but leans in the trendy direction… great beef and cocktails (Old Fashions for sure). Perhaps the coolest part is the saloon next door… you can line dance!

Generally, OC is also well known for Korean and Vietnamese food. If you venture down to Garden Grove you can find lots of good options.

For the most part though, we’re still on the search for restaurants we’d recommend… highly recommend The Ranch but that’s it.

Beer

Surprisingly, Anaheim is one of our favorite destinations for beer… mostly due to three places: Monkish, Bottle Logic, and Green Cheek. Monkish is one of our favorite breweries in the country… amazing IPAs (I love the creamy hazy ones but they also do decent WC styles). If you’re into beer, this is a must to visit. The Anaheim location is a taproom close to lots of food options, but if you want the real experience make your way out to their brewery in Torrence.

Bottle Logic and Green Cheek are well known across the country within the beer community as well. Bottle Logic has amazing stouts and fun fruity sours, whereas Green Cheek is all about the no frill west coast bitter IPA.

There’s lots of other breweries in the area but these are the best!

Attractions

Disneyland! Every family has to experience it once right? Choose your own adventure here… we’re not Disney adults.

The beach and nice weather is why you want to be in SoCal. Lots of beaches around… but be warned it’s quite cold for swimming in the winter! Huntington is the closest beach; it has a cute village stroll and nice boardwalk for running. The trendiest beach though is out by LA… Venice and Santa Monica! Not very close to Anaheim but a doable day trip… tack on the usual LA tourist attractions while you’re at it! (Hollywood mostly)

Vibe

Sun, driving around with windows down along palm tree lined streets… that’s the stereotypical vibe, but be prepared for lots of concrete and traffic as well. The mountains surrounding the entire LA area (off in the distance) are visually pleasing. Plus the beaches and Cali Mexican food. Generally a nice area to be in.
