It actually looks good. It's gonna be pretty fast, pretty open. It's gonna be a long track though, so it'll be fun. It'll be good for a triple crown I think!Rookie year: how do you think it's going so far?
I think it's gone pretty good. Hard to say with the last two rounds being mud races, but A1 was really good and we're back here in Angel Stadium again for the Triple Crown. So, excited to get back on the dry track and see what we can do.This is the exact race where you made your debut last year in the Futures, right?Does that bring any extra confidence to you entering tomorrow?
Yeah, for sure. I really like this stadium. I'm happy to be back here for another round and ready to go.The double mudders, as a rookie, I don't know how much experience you have riding in mud or not, but how does that take a toll on you mentally?
Obviously I was a little frustrated after the last two rounds, but I think you can't take too much from it. Obviously there, it's a mud race, anything can happen, bike and race. There's a bunch of stuff that can happen, so I think you just gotta hit the reset button on Sunday after that race and get ready to go for the next roundWhat are your realistic expectations for the rest of the year?
I think after the last couple weekends, this weekend I'm focused on just being back, being back in the front. The rest of the year, I wanna be on the podium, up with the top dogs in the front. So yeah, that's the goal for the rest of the year.I think a lot of people are impressed with your speed. I talked to Ian actually at the first round, and he was saying you have everything needed; really fast. What do you attribute that to? like you, you, you have a really interesting upbringing, like not really having the factory support until, until as last year really.
Yeah, for sure. I think for me it’s just a lot of laps. We put in a lot of work this off season to be where we're at right now. I just look back to the off season: where we were in the beginning of October and to where we are now; we're in such a good spot. So I think that's definitely one of the biggest things.
