Round 9 of the 2018 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship wrapped up this weekend inside the brand new Mercedes-Benz stadium in Atlanta, GA.
And…. the injuries continue. This time, Blake Baggett crashed out and appears to have suffered some sort of wrist injury. More news to come on that.
In particular, there was one triple that caused massive crashes throughout the day. A lot of riders drifted too far outside and clipped the tuff blocks right before taking off, ripping them off their bikes. Weston Peick crashed this way during qualifying practice (he later rebounded to qualify through the LCQ), but Dylan Ferrandis wasn’t so lucky in the second 250 main event tonight. He eventually walked away, but looked to be in quite a bit of pain.
450 rookie Justin Hill also crashed hard, resulting in a foot injury (broken toe).
