It’s a gorgeous day in the pacific northwest, home to the Peterson CAT Washougal National. Qualifying here for round 9 of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing, just finished.

Pretty standard day of qualifying, other than a red flag in the 450 session. Justin Barcia crashed hard and knocked himself out. Initial reports are that he should be okay, although he was sent to the hospital with a sore neck. So no Justin Barcia today.

One of the exciting parts to watch on the track is the single scrub jump when heading back up hill after the mid section. Some of the riders are choosing to launch off of this jump instead of rolling it, which is giving the fans watching from the sidelines a good time.
