#21 Jason Anderson (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna):

Unlike the 250 class, it was a lot harder for me to choose the Most Impressive 450 Rider at Glen Helen. Sure, Eli Tomac had a good come-from-behind ride in the first moto, but that’s kinda to be expected now. In fact, I kinda expected him to catch Marvin Musquin… but he didn’t… so not too impressed. And sure, Musquin rode well in that first moto. Pretty impressive how he picked it up a notch in the last 10 minutes to solidify that win. However, he struggled a bit in the 2nd moto, so I wasn’t too impressed with that.

All in all, I settled with Jason Anderson. Anderson was the only 450 rider at Glen Helen that had two pretty good motos in my opinion. In the first moto, despite finishing off the podium, he came from waaaayyy back through the pack. He was sticking with Tomac for a part of the race, and had some of the fastest laps in the latter half of the moto.

In the second moto, Anderson dominated. He got a good start, rode calmly in second behind Baggett for a while, and then made the pass. Afterwards, he put his head down, pulled off some fast laps, and cruised in for the win. No doubt he was the fastest rider in that second moto.

This is the Jason Anderson we saw last year at the MXdN, and this is the Jason Anderson I expect to see every round this year. He will be a consistent podium finisher for sure.
