Well, it looks like JGR has found yet another fill-in rider. Kyle Cunningham will be finishing out the 250SX East Championship on JGR to replace injured rider Matt Bisceglia. The news was broken via Instagram a couple of days ago.

Cunningham, who was originally racing for BLUE Buffalo / Slater Skins Yamaha, parted ways with the team prior to Toronto. The initial plan for him was to ride a privateer 450 at Daytona, so the call from JGR must have been a sigh of relief.

My OpinionJGR has probably had the worst season ever on record for a team. Barcia, Peick, Nicoletti, and Bisceglia (their original 4 riders) are all hurt or have been hurt sometime so far this year. Their original replacement rider for Bisceglia, Kyle Peters, signed on only for a 3 race deal, and has now moved on to race in Australia. So Kyle Cunningham it is now!

Cunningham is definitely a fast rider, and has had success in this class before. Given the right circumstances, he’s definitely a top 10 guy. The situation with him and BLUE Buffalo is weird… not sure why he parted ways with them after only two rounds… but this fill-in ride with JGR is a perfect chance to redeem himself.
