Round 6 of the 2017 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship is just two days away! Check out the track that we can expect with this animated track map.

My Opinion: This is only the second time this year that we’ve had a race in a football stadium. Honestly, I think the rectangular football stadium floor provides for better track designs, and definitely longer, more interesting rhythm sections; these are all massive pros! However, we now enter a stretch of the series where it’s basically all football stadiums, and historically the tracks tend to get repetitive. Hopefully that’s not the case this year.

In terms of the Arlington track, I’m actually pretty excited for it. The start is shorter and turns across the track; this is just cool in my opinion. Additionally, 180-degree turns, a MASSIVE/long rhythm section, and back-to-back whoops! If you read this column weekly, you know by now that these are things I get excited about. Even the corner after the finish line should be interesting this week, as I feel it will provide an inside line which will be a good passing opportunity, but not necessarily faster than railing around the outside; watch for some passes to be made here.

The only disappointing part of the design is the one lone triple at the end of the stadium. For some reason, the track designers love to put a triple in this spot; we saw it in Phoenix, and we’ve seen it many times in the past. If this continues to happen, I want to start a petition! Nothing exciting ever happens over this triple in my opinion.
